Sheryl and Harvey White hosted a very elegant cocktail party for the Globe Guilders and Special Guest, designer Naeem Khan. Yes that's the Naeem Khan who is worn by a who's who including First Lady Michelle Obama, actress Eva Longoria, and a few of the best dressed in San Diego including Iris Strauss, Valerie Cooper, and yes, pretty host Sheryl White.

Sheryl White wore a fun strapless Naeem Khan, Iris wore a stunning Naeem Khan tunic, and this reporter wore a vintage Naeem. Naeem, after saying 'Oh my God' when seeing this beaded dress remembered the exact year he designed it.....1984.

Among the guests enjoying stunning Southwest ocean views from the White's home were Joan and Irwin Jacobs, (they were going to dinner at the White House in a few days), Karen and Don Cohn (they had just been in Costa Rica with the Jacobs), Jeanne Jones and Don Breitenberg, Lee Clark and Jerry Pikolysky, Lynda Kerr, May Zawaideh (her daughter Lena Zawaideh attended the over-the-top Sir Elton John's fundaiser recently), Patty Elkus, Emma and Leo Zuckerman, Maria Delgado, Lou Spisto the Executive Director of the Old Globe Theatre, Honorary Chair for the next day's fashion show with Naeem Jo Ann Kilty, Gigi Cramer, Eileen Prisby and Todd Schultz of the Old Globe, and Lena Evans. Lena hosted the patron party last year.

* Margo Schwab, MBA, more formally known as Margaret E. Schwab, has produced, written, interviewed and photographed for various media organizations since 1989. Schwab attended Holton Arms School, La Jolla Country Day School and La Jolla High School. Schwab has a B.A. from Scripps College, spent a business internship with S.A.I.C., Science Applications International Corporation, and earned a Masters of Business degree, M.B.A., from the University of San Diego by way of Claremont Graduate School . Schwab additionally took college courses from Harvard University, and Syracuse University. Schwab volunteers for numerous charity organizations. She also continues to support animal organizations and the prevention of people and animal abuse. Schwab is the editor and co-owner of The Social Diary.
