On May 4th, the long anticipated opening of Prada occurred at South Coast Plaza. And it did so in a big way! The private invite only reception was a veritable who's who of the fashion set from Orange County, San Diego and L. A. And it was for a very good cause. A percentage of the evening's sales, and there were a lot, went to support the Orange County Museum of Art's free education programs. Among the chic ones there were Nancy O' Conner, Mia Malone and Roberto de Gregorio, Jennifer Waters, Diana and Simon Malk, Jennifer Shaver, Tangi Miller and Salem Ciuffa. Salem, dressed in head to toe Prada, enjoyed the party. Meanwhile her husband Giuseppe Ciuffa was back behind the scenes with his luxe catering company Giuseppe Fine Catering providing bite sized smoked salmon, tuna tartare and other appetizers with champagne and martinis. They also provided the very good looking servers! A perfect fit for such a DNA blessed crowd. More there included Tae Kim, Minji Clark and Chloe Kang, as well as the Co-Chairs of the event, Marsha Anderson, Inga Beder, Renetta Caya, Moira Kamgar and Jennifer Segerstrom. That's of the Segerstrom's family that owns South Coast Plaza.    Please enjoy the photos. Be advised strictly no downloading of photos. Please email purchase requests of photos you are in. .JPG)

 at Rancho Coastal Humane Society
The donation boxes that help fund the maintenance of the free Encinitas community dog park, Cricket’s Corner, were broken into.  The theft was discovered this morning by a shelter employee and Rancho Coastal Humane Society is asking the public to report any information they have about this crime. It is estimated that $100.00 was stolen and there will also be expense to repair the donation boxes.  Animal shelters in San Diego have been on-going targets of thieves over the past two years. “This was a selfish act,” said President Jim Silveira. “It is obvious that the person who committed this crime has no regard for the plight of animals in our community. We rely on the generosity of dog park patrons to help us maintain the park. The person who did this, is not only stealing from our shelter animals, but from everyone in our community.” It costs RCHS approximately $5,000 annually to operate the dog park, which is a free service to the community.  To report information about this crime please call (760) 753-6413 or to make a donation to the dog park, visit www.rchumanesociety.org              __________________________________________________________________
