year since 1997 the UCSD Luau has
honored an individual who has exempliefied
aloha spirit in the memory of surf
legend Rell Sunn. This year the award
went to Alex Szekeley who battled
cancer for over 20 years, gave generously
back to the community and always had
a kind and self-less word..... Alex's
wife Diane is pictured at right getting
a supportive squeeze from Legend Rod
